Forensic Psychology
Forensic Psychology
As much as we might hope to never have to respond to some legal matter or go to court, unfortunately the reality is, at some stage in our lives we might have to respond to some claim made against us by another person or an organisation or even make a court appearance to answer some allegations or plead our case.
Our clinical psychologists are qualified and experienced in helping you effectively deal with the psychological requirements relating to most legal matters. Often our first step is to help you put the alleged problem into a workable and understandable context. Providing you with psychological support whilst you negotiate your way through the various requirements of the legal system is also a priority. Preparing a psychological report for your lawyer or the court is frequently one of the most useful and important roles of our psychologists. In preparing this report you may be asked to complete some psychological assessments which are then interpreted to the court to assist with your case. Our psychologists are also available to attend court and make representations on your behalf.
