Medicare
Medicare provides a rebate of $141.85 for clinical psychologists and $96.65 for all other psychologists who are referred by their GP, a psychiatrist or a paediatrician for treatment of a mental health disorder. See our services page for information about mental health disorders.
To claim this rebate you will require a referral letter plus a GP Mental Health Care Plan (MBS 2715 or 2712) from your GP or just a referral letter from your psychiatrist or paediatrician.
We now have 10 sessions available with a GP Mental Health Care Plan from Medicare. Your referring doctor will review your progress after six sessions.
On the spot Medicare rebates are available.
Bulk Billing
This practice is not a bulk billing practice. All of our psychologists are experienced psychologists who require added qualifications and experience and have to meet stringent annual professional development requirements to maintain their registrations.
Our psychologists may reduce their fees or bulk bill in exceptional circumstances only.
Medicare Rebates Available
(with a GP Mental Health Care Plan in place)
If you are experiencing financial difficulties, your GP may choose to refer you to our clinic via Medicare – this will assist with reduced fee options
Private Insurance
Rebates are available from your Private Health fund for psychology services. Check with your fund to see if you are covered. If you are, on the spot rebates are available at the time of payment.
Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)
Most organisations provide free services for employees. At this practice we provide free services – on referral – for ADF, Ambulance, Teachers’ Union, SES and several private businesses.
Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA)
If you have a DVA white or gold card you may be entitled to psychological sessions with no fee incurred.
Our psychologists may also be able to see you with no incursion of a fee if you have a current claim with the Transport Accident Commission (TAC), WorkCover, or Victims of Crime Tribunal.
